Install and upload server-side mods for Palworld

Updated 2026-06-19 · Palworld · MOD · 5 min read

Overview

This tutorial covers how to complete "Install and upload server-side mods for Palworld" in the GSS console. The flow is built around visual actions — no command line, and every key step shows its impact and supports rollback.

i
Before you start: Make sure you've created a Palworld server and can open the console. For data-affecting actions, create a backup under Saves first.

Steps

01
Check compatibility
Versions aren't verified automatically — make sure the MOD matches your current Palworld version.
02
Open the MOD console
Console → MOD Console, click Upload MOD.
03
Pick files
Pick or drop .zip / .pak / .dll files (512MB max each); they go into this server's MOD folder and .zip is extracted automatically.
04
Restart or not
Restart now to apply, or upload only and apply on the next restart.
05
Verify loading
After restart, confirm in the Monitoring logs that the MOD loaded; the list only shows files present in the folder.
⚠
Note: This action may affect saves or online players. Confirm a backup exists before running; high-risk actions only take effect after a second confirmation.
